Dr. Miao is the Co-Founder and Chief Scientific Advisor of AKSO Biopharmaceutical, Inc. Before founding AKSO Bio, she spearheaded the development of multiple therapeutic molecules, many of which are currently advancing through clinical trials. Dr. Miao earned her Ph.D. from the University of Melbourne, Australia, and in 2010, she joined Stanford University as a research scientist under Professor Amato J. Giaccia. With over 15 years of experience in translational therapeutics, she led the discovery and development of the DEEP Platform. Dr. Miao has authored numerous high-impact scientific publications and holds more than 30 U.S. and international patents. She is instrumental in advancing both the preclinical and clinical development of AKSO Bio’s therapeutic pipeline, help driving company’s mission of revolutionizing patient care through innovative therapies.
